Frequently asked questions
How do you play Haikyuu Grid?
Every cell sits where a row criterion crosses a column criterion, so a character has to match both to be accepted. Place picks in as many cells as you like, then lock them in together: you get 3 lock ins a grid, and no character can solve two cells. Everyone plays the same nine cells each day.
What is the rarity score?
Every correct answer carries the share of players who gave the same one. Your rarity is those shares added together, with 100 added for every cell you miss, so a lower rarity is a better grid. Under 500 earns bonus Rally Points: Freak Quick, under 150, 25 points; Ace Serve, under 300, 15 points; Clean Receive, under 500, 8 points.
Why did my rarity change after I finished?
Because it is worked out from what everybody else played, and people are still playing. Rarity is recomputed on every read while the day is live, which is what stops the first person to finish from scoring 100% on every cell. It freezes when the day ends, and the bonus is paid on the settled number.
Is there more than one right answer per cell?
Almost always, and that is the game. A cell asking for a Karasuno middle blocker has several, and which one you reach for is what separates two grids that both solved all nine. Yesterday's board on this page lists every character who would have been accepted in each cell, and the share of players who found them.
What happens if I get a cell wrong?
The cell reopens when the lock in is checked, and the character who missed can still be tried in a different cell, just not that one again. Every lock in counts whether its picks were right or not, and the third one ends the grid, with every cell still open finishing unsolved at 100 rarity. So a rare answer you are unsure of is a choice between spending a lock in on it and sending the safe answer everybody else will use.
Does the grid reset every day?
Yes, at midnight Sydney time. One grid per day, and a grid in progress is kept so you can close the tab and come back to it. Playing keeps your Grid streak alive.
Is Haikyuudle official?
No. Haikyuudle is an unofficial fan project. Haikyu!! and its characters belong to Haruichi Furudate and Shueisha.
